Do I hear it right that she says broed as "broea"? (Sorry, no umlauts on the keyboard, so I type it as "oe")
It sounds pretty fine through the TTS. That last "d" is in fact silent.
I hear an aspiration at the end (i.e. [brøh]). Is this her voice being breathy, the usual pronunciation of final <d>, or another feature of Norwegian?
I believe that much like the alteration of English hard stops at the ends of words like stop, cat, back, etc...to glottal stops in the vernacular, the 'd' on the end of brød is pronouced with a glottal stop.
It does not have the option of bread :/
