Allow us to click on words for translations instead please.

.

Many times while I'm doing a lesson, I accidentally hover over a word and "peek." This messes with the spaced repetition algorithm, because a word that I actually know very well is now decaying faster because of my peek. Also, when I'm translating texts in the immersion tab, I often have troubles seeing the translation of a single word without accidentally hovering over the others. My solution: maybe you could just disable the mouseover translations, and instead allow us to click on the word in order to see the translations. Gracias.

Accidental peaking is certainly annoying, but It isn't really the most important thing to fix IMO.

I think it's worthy of looking into. Users should always offer feedback when there is an issue in the site.

I've accidentally peeked too but I soon realised that it didn't matter in the scheme of things. Repetition is a vital part of learning a language and if I have to do a few extra word revisions it isn't costing me anything and is in fact ensuring the word stays fixed in my mind.

Yes repetition is good! But the spaced repetition algorithm is in place to make sure we study the words we need to know at the appropriate time. If I only have a small amount of time to spend on studying, I'd sure would much rather be studying words that I need to know.

I never peek accidentally and I prefer hovering rather than clicking. Just an opinion.

I'm with you. I think having to click all the time would be annoying.

Maybe it can be optional. Because I know for me and a few friends, it's a huge deal.

I thought about it, but adding options should be done carefully, otherwise settings will be overloaded with them. A lot of users don't even know where settings are!
