Crowdsourced English summaries as a way to help people translate web pages.
Duolingo recommends that you start translating at a sentence of appropriate difficulty. This would be easier to do if there were a short English summary of the web page.
Such a summary could be crowdsourced using Duolingo, perhaps as a way to test comprehension of the web page in general.
And people could vote on how good the summary is and you could get credits for it.
I always go to the beginning of the document, in order to have some consistency in my understanding and rendering of the material. I also enjoy the translation more this way.
Even so, I think the availability of a cluster of sentences translated by a high rating individual translator is a great idea.
