Sofia has not yet discovered that Adamo is a bear...

Sofia, Adam, kaj Lidia estas la nomoj de la infanoj de Zamenhofo.

This is literally nonsense.

Besides, I thought they were married

The Adamo and Sofia of the Duolingo sentences are most probably named after L.L. Zamenhof's children, but they may not be meant to actually be those children.

I'm not even sure whether they're the same Adamo and Sofia between different Duolingo sentences. They probably aren't.

Finally, legendary Adam kaj Sofia have met in one place!

why isnt "sofia likes to chat" not accepted?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Stillemere

Because ŝati is specifically to like, while ĝui is to enjoy. The difference being that ĝui can only refer to an action or occasion.

Is this the same difference as enjoying vs liking?

• Sofia enjoys to chat with Adam in the chatroom. • Sofia enjoys chatting with Adamo in the chat room. Can I always change chatroom and chat room?

Yeah no difference.
