Just finished my Spanish tree!
I learned about this site about a year ago and started learning. Halfway through however, I stopped because I lost interest. It gets a bit boring at times. I started learning again a week ago and just finished the tree. I have to say I'm feeling confident in this language. I can form decent sentences and express myself well. I suppose I'm better at Reading and Writing, because this is what Duolingo teaches you. I'll have to practice my listening skills more and definitely my speaking. I was wondering at which level finishing the tree brings you - around B1 I suppose? A lot of people complain about Duolingo not accepting their answers but I didn't have such problems - only once or twice during the whole tree. I am quite satisfied with the site - only thing I would like to say is to try to make it more interesting to play. No, I do not enjoy writing the same sentence 3 times in one skill.
What should I do now? I hear Immersion is not very enjoyable. Any thoughts on doing the reverse tree?
Good luck to everyone studying spanish!
Oh, reverse tree is definitely good :) I makes you get used to the usage of the language, and helps a lot with making up sentences :) Give it a try. Congratulations and good luck! :)
I'm thinking about starting Portuguese soon. Are they really that similar?
It's very similar. Identical words, pronunciation is easier for Portuguese speakers.
Many things to say. Great Job! I don't think it gets boring! And finally, thank you!
I have just recently started the reverse tree and so far I like it. I went thru the tree too quickly and did not learn some of the things as well as I should have. So I am hoping the reverse tree will help with that and I will take it more slowly. I am also trying Immersion, looking for simple sentences I can translate. I like trying to do the translation, but wish it were a little more user friendly. I wish it were easier to find sentences that need translating. And I have bit of trouble at times trying to select a sentence. Sometimes I get more than one highlighted by accident and they are not always adjoining. I have a few other issues too. But still, I think for me, it is a worth while effort.
