First Turkish conversation
I had some time to kill between the end of my work day (summer job) and an appointment, so I figured I would do some Duolingo-ing on one of the public computers in the lobby. A while later, two employees came in loudly speaking Turkish to eachother and asked me a question (in Dutch) about the displays in the lobby. After explaining that I wasn't the reception, one of them reached around to my side to see what I was doing. Busted! So I said "Uh... do you speak Turkish?" "Yes. Türkçe biliyorsunuz?" "I-I'm learning..." "Nasılsınız?" "Iyiyim, benim adım Tom-" "Memnun oldum!" And then his colleague dragged him away because they were running late for an appointment. So yeah, just the basic pleasantries, but that's probably for the best, since I couldn't really introduce myself with such sentences as "the director eats turtles" and "I am a young owl".
