I finally finished my Dutch tree. Many many thanks to the team for an intelligent, engaging course. I love the way the rhinoceros kept showing up, even in the last lesson. The sentences were engaging, intelligent, and taught me something besides Dutch.

This course has made me want to visit the Netherlands, even though it wasn't really on my bucket list before.

I find Dutch a little easier, even though I took German in high school and college. The grammar is just a little more like English, I don't have to worry about declinations of articles and adjectives as I do in German, and there seem to be more simillarities in vocabulary. I also find the Dutch course to be a little better put together, with more use of earlier vocabulary and skills in later lessons. Of course, this could be because Duolingo has learned something about how to put courses together since the German one was launched.
