I keep getting counted wrong for putting "the" or "a." Ukrainian doesn't have determiners, does it?
Ukrainian does not have articles (a, an, the), but determiners seem to be more general category (according to this source: http://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/en/english-grammar/determiners-and-quantifiers). It is perfectly possible to say "Ці люди співають".
I think "The people are singing" is correct and should be accepted.
OK, I just wanted to check, since it might be something that was not introduced until later. Bulgarian, I think, has definite determiners, so I thought it might be possible.
