Friends for motivation?
I was wondering if anyone learning Swedish from English would like to be friends on the app? I have a friend on there already and find it motivating to watch others learn (must be the competitive streak in me :P).
Add me if you like Siobhan88489 :)
I started learning back in May, yes it has taken me a while but I hopefully will get there. At first I was put off by the reaction people gave me when I said I was learning it left it for a while. Now I'm trying to be as active as I can in between work and life in general :-). Feel free to add me Lotte 1191
Oh I love it here, I moved to Norrköping from South-West England, near Bristol. It's been so great since I've moved here! I'm working as an Au-Pair for a year and the city is just beautiful. Where are you from? I'd love to visit Göteborg one day, looks like an awesome place.
Hi, I am currently mostly refreshing my Spanish and French, but want to learn Swedish too. Always wanted to visit Sweden and aim to do it next year with my sister. So want to be able to speak the language a bit. Would like to befriend some of you guys too to keep my motivation up :)
Hey Siobhan, My partner has moved back to Sweden and we are currently doing the commute to and fro so I have to get my act together and finally learn some Swedish. None of my friends speak/want to learn Swedish and it would be great to see how others are getting along :-) Good luck!
Hey Philipap.. A real culture shock Sweden was for me at first, especially being from Yorkshire in England where people are notoriously friendly! The language for me hasn't been too difficult so far as I am familiar with some German, it seems Spanish is most popular on here at the minute! Hope you get on grand, best of luck :) x
Heya! I'm Pole, but living in South Yorkshire currently. When I've visited SE forthe first time, I've just fell in love with the place. Calm, extraordinary harmony...forests, lonely strolling and absorbing that atmosphere of perfect coexistence between people and mother nature...I just found peace of mind there. I really miss such nature here, in the UK...it's to urbanized for me, ppl are so busy, and everyone is buying, buying...And there everyone seems so relaxed! I've been to central part of Sweden, in dalarna region, and I just felt like at home. Snow, wooden houses, dozens of old bikes (unchained, because inhabitants don't scare sb else can steal it!), friendly people (yeah, people were extremely polite! I've heard Swedes, or Scandi people are cold, but I get completely different impression...or maybe it is because I'm from Poland, where People are even colder to each other?). Anyway, I cross my fingers for you and your plans, and wish you all the best! U can make it, and... hope I'll too!:)
