The people having homophobic meltdowns are going to be in for a big shock if they ever actually visit Norway, which I have always found to be a mostly broad-minded and tolerant country.

It's really nice to see this kind of sentence..

Why is the only answer: Hun har null pen kone? What does null stands for other than zero?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Deliciae

That's a bug. Duo has taken to sometimes replacing optional words with the value "null".

Our default translation for this sentence is:

"Hun har en pen kone."

How come it is "en" rather than "ei", or is this an option as well?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Deliciae

"Ei" is definitely an option, and a common one at that. :)

This makes me incredibly happy.

So happy to see this. :)

What about "hun har ei pen kone"??

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/spacegrace42

that should also be accepted because ei can be used. check out linn's reply to willstock3 above :)

Can I also say "Hun har en fin kone"?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/SansEspoir83

Fin tends to be more "nice" and "hot" than pretty.
