    No copula allowed here? I tried it and was marked wrong. I thought "Is" would be used, though, since one's adult height is fairly constant...


    It's not just with constant things, however. It's more when you identify or classify something. So, basically, when you have two nouns. Here you're just saying a person is tall, you're not identifying them or classifying them as a "tall person".
