Mannen = husband? My answer is " The husban eats", but is said like wrong.

I still have a problem to distinguish article "the" in English is same with "en" in Mannen, I can't hear the sound

The difference is quite subtle, and also partly contextual.

You wouldn't say "Mann spiser", you would need to say "En mann spiser". Also, the "n" in "mannen" feels slightly elongated to me. It's hard to describe but there is a pronunciation difference too, I think.
