When there are a lot of lessons in a skill, I usually want to repeat every lesson a few times to make new words sink in.

However, when I select the last lesson I learned, I often get too much words from the previous lessons. But I want to focus on new words instead.

In Spanish "Verbs: Present 2" skill there are two verbs that are really annoying: empezar and comenzar. They were taught in the first lesson of the skill, but I always get them when redoing other lessons. I know them perfectly. Removing them from practice has no effect on redoing lessons.

I've completed the 4th lesson of this skill today and learned 7 new verbs: buscar, aceptar, cerrar, dar, tomar, volver and visitar. And what do I see in Vocabulary?

bug

Again "empezar" and "comenzar", but no "buscar" and "cerrar". When I try to redo lesson 4 to practice just my new 7 verbs, the first sentence I get is "Ella empieza maƱana" or "Yo comienzo hoy".

Is there a way to fix new words to the corresponding lessons and not mix them up?

Yes, I have noticed that with the French lessons as well. I am currently learning Numbers in French, and the word "quatrieme" was taught in either Lesson 2 or Lesson 3, but it turned up as a new word learnt in Lesson 4, and when I completed Lesson 4, it turned up as a new word in Lesson 5.

Yeah, I just finished Lesson 5, and "comenzar" and "empezar" are now in Lesson 5 vocabulary. Weird.

I think if it is different forms of the same word it will mark them as new. Also, this probably happens because of the spaced repetition, the algorithm assumes since you saw them recently they are still fresh in your memory. The practice button within a skill should show you all the words, also I find that timed practice offers a better variety, aside from that the only other choice would be to practice the word individually.

Hardly. These two verbs were not present in later lessons when I passed them for the first time, but they always appear if I repeat those lessons.

The problem is, I don't want to practice all words until I finish the skill. There are skills with many lessons, and if I practice all words after each lesson, the first lessons will be practiced more than the last ones.

Sometimes I wish the system were dumber and just let me repeat the lessons %) Or to check a few words to practice them. Practicing one word is too ineffective: you get 2 or 3 sentences and that's all. I want a mix of the words, but only the words from one lesson %)

If I had 10 sentences for that one word and its various forms, I'd use that Vocabulary tab more effectively. I already love it, but I feel mighty frustrated setting everything up for 2-5 sentences, over and over again. Even 8 is better but I would still prefer at least 10.

I can't imagine the length of DL's backlog of suggestions and programming. I hope this will make it somewhere onto that list though.

I'd prefer to check a few words I want to practice. They would appear at random and this would not be as easy as using the same one word in every sentence.

Well, the fact is the lessons build on each other, e.g. lesson consists of words from 1-3, and a couple of new ones. They did mention the vocabulary section will be revamped. I think this may happen soon because I don't see the vocabulary section working for non-latin based languages, it will be a complete mess.

This is especially true if either Mandarin(Chinese) or Japanese is added, one of which I've heard the script contains 10000 or more characters. Those of us who don't have a keyboard compatible with those languages will have a serious problem.

For now, a quick fix which wouldn't take too make dev time, is just reset the whole skill, remove lessons within a skills, to start anew, simple case of removing a "flag" somewhere indicating that the skill is complete.

The lessons don't build on each other when you pass them for the first time! You only get sentences with new words when you do lesson 2 and no words from lesson 1. But the situation changes when you redo the lesson; that's what bugs me.

Apparently words will mix if you have two tabs open with different language settings. Perhaps it's the same with multiple tabs of different lessons of the same language?

I didn't have tabs with different lessons open. I had three tabs: Discussion, lesson in progress and Vocabulary.

Just noticed the same thing in Spanish "Objects" skill. I wanted to reinforce the words from my third lesson, but some of them moved to the first and second ones being replaced with older words instead. This bug makes it very inconvenient to learn skills with too many lessons. When there are 3 lessons in a skill, I can pass them in one sit and then review everything together. With 9 lessons, however, I'd prefer to repeat every lesson a few times before going to the next one.
