How do I use Immersion?

Am I being a total idiot or does the Immersion tool seem a little hard to navigate around? I really have not idea what to do when I get on to the page. Maybe I am trying it out too early in my language journey (just over halfway through the tree, level 16), but any hints would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance fellow language lovers. :)

At level 16, I think you are perfectly capable. I am only at level 13, and I have gotten thousands of XP from Immersion.

Basically, the point of Immersion is translating articles that other users upload from around the internet. You simply click on an article that you would like to translate (my latest one was "California", if you would like to help me), and then click on the sentence that you would like to translate. If a sentence is blue, that means it is untranslated, so look for long blue sentences to get the most points.

However, if you are using a mobile device for Immersion, the formatting is bad. Tapping on sentences is dodgy because sometimes it gives you the hint for the word instead. If you are using a mobile device for Immersion, then don't. Use a desktop device for Immersion instead.

I hope I can be of some assistance to you, my fellow language lover :)

First, don't forget to confirm the kind of the articles that you want

Click on needs to be translated and select an article

then click on the sentences with the color blue.

These are the sentences that are not yet translated

Good luck!

I have recently started using it and have done a few simple sentence. There are things I do not understand about what it works and need to do some checking on those things. I think it could be more user friendly. When looking at a large article that is a large part already translate, I some times have a hard time finding the ones that need translating.

The black text has been translated and checked. The grey text has been translated, but needs to be checked. The blue text has not been translated. And lasly, any green text has been checked or translated by you.

You can also select Proofread at the top right of the article, then you can easily see un- translated sections on the right.
