Lesson freezing at the very end.

I was wondering if anyone else has trouble finishing a lesson. Twice now I have gotten all the way through and the lesson freezes and I have to redo the whole thing since there is no way to go back or forward without saving my lesson. Thank you Ruth.

I had the same problem before, now I am using an updated version of Internet Explorer and it never happened again...

Which browser and operating system are you using? I recommend you submit a bug report using this link as the technical staff of Duolingo have more capabilities of resolving this issue than the course contributors :)

I use Firefox Windows 7. Yesterday it worked fine again. It is odd it always happens at the same place in the lesson. The very end. If it is my computer, wouldn't this happen anytime and not at the same place. I will go to the technical staff and see what they have to say about it. Thank you for your help Jane.

I would report it, but there are a few things you could try:

  • When it freezes, keep the window open, and open up another tab to continue on Duo. I've done this before and did not lose my work. It eventually unfroze itself.

  • Restart your computer. I only had it freeze a couple times, but the problem cleared up after I restarted and I've not see the issue again. In any case, it can't hurt to try it.

  • Close your browser session and open another one.

  • Try a different browser.
