This is a great way to see how far you've come on Duolingo!

Watch this video and answer the following questions:

  • On a scale från ett till hundra, how stupid is this man exactly?

  • What do you think the general meaning of his words are?

  • How many öl do you need to drink before something like this seems like en bra idé?

  • Is the man laughing his vän or his bästa vän?

Can you pass the test? ;)

For those of you who don't understand Swedish so well, the place he learned the trick from (according to the text), Säters fasta paviljong, is a closed ward for forensic psychiatry.

Hahahaha that made it so much better! I think the Swedes and the Dutch have a very similar sense of humor. When somesome does something extremely stupid, we tend to ask "do they have visiting hours, where you're from?"

På en skala från ett till hundra, jag säger... nittiofem. Men ingen öl. Formödligen femton skott (?) tequila.

Shot in the meaning of a few centilitres of alcoholic drink is just shot in Swedish too. Usually we keep the plural as well, so it's "femton shots".

Tack! Reason number I've-lost-count to not trust Google translate :-P I actually thought about counting snaps instead, because I was pretty sure I was wrong about shots.
