¡Finalmente he terminado mi árbol de español!
Woohoo! First off, thanks to Duolingo and thanks to the course contributors! I finished my Spanish tree this morning! It's been a long time coming and as happy as I am, I know that I still have a lot to learn. For starters, I still only have an academic understanding of all that subjunctive stuff! :P When it come to applying it, I fall short almost every time.
I studied Spanish in school from age 12-14 and didn't do very well. I switched to German and fell in love with the language. I excelled at German and Spanish fell off of my plate. I'm from the US, so I have had regular exposure to Spanish to keep things fresh over the years. Fast forward to 23 year old me getting back into Spanish via Duolingo 2 years ago. (That makes me 25 now ;) ) I've enjoyed the experience immensely and I can't wait for the opportunity to really immerse myself with natives. I'm planning a trip to Spain next Spring, so I have some time to strengthen my skills!
This wasn't my first tree conquered and I can say with confidence that it won't be my last!
FINISHED: German from English, English from German, Spanish from English
IN PROGRESS: Swedish from English, English from Spanish, Spanish from German, German from Spanish
WAITING FOR: Russian from English
Muchas gracias por todo! :D
