"Few friends" (come rilevavano altri utenti in un precedente esempio) sarebbe meglio tradotto con "pochi amici". Mentre "a few friends" = "alcuni amici". Per capire meglio basta confrontare le seguenti frasi: "She went to NY and after a month she had few friends" (negative, -) e "She went to NY and after a month she had a few friends" (positive, +).
