The car crashed into a tree, or you crashed your car into a tree?!
Yeah, the way this is worded makes it sound like you´re trying to deny responsibility.
Is it common in Norwegian to assign the blame to something else? This sentence seems particularly Spanish in that sense.
it wasn't me it was the car!
Finally, another phrase I might actually need :P Presumably to be used sometime after "dette er den tolvte ølen min" haha

Tre mot en er feigt.
Whoops, I parked and left the handbrake off. It crashed all by itself.
It must have been a driverless car!
Yes it sounds a bit weird
The car itself can't hit a tree by itself. Unless you forgot to put the handbrake on and it just rolled down the hill and hit the tree.
My car bumped/hit/smashed into a tree tonight.
Treffetid: Jeg traff en venn og bilen min traff et tre.
