It seems another accurate English translation is "Pay attention to the trees!". IMO

George, george, george of the jungle WATCH OUT FOR THE TREE!!!!!

It depends on whether "Achtung" is meant to warn the speaker of a hazard caused to the listener by the trees or whether it's meant to warn the speaker of danger to the trees. Without context, it's not possible to tell which is correct, whether one peeks or not.

I had exactly the same thought, cathyr! I gambled and answered "Careful of the trees and I lost a heart. :(

Don't lose heart! :)

Surely ‘beware of the trees’ is acceptable

'Mind the...' (as in 'mind the gap' on the London Underground) is polite English usage for 'Careful'. You should allow this.

Mind the trees.

Hint provides 'Attention' & 'Respect' yet answer provides 'Careful' for Achtung.

I was figuring myself driving in a car with somebody sitting next to me warning me for the trees that i could be hitting. "Attention, trees" was not accepted.

"Attention, the trees" was accepted - you need the article.

But why? That sounds so unnatural.

I put "Be careful" and this is accepted when saying Achtung.
