"Wat is de massa van deze banaan?"
Translation:What is the mass of this banana?
'Banaan' heeft -anders dan in dictaat- de klemtoon op de laatste lettergreep
Is there a conscious difference between mass and weight in Dutch or are they used interchangeably by most non-scientists?
Same as in English, in everyday use people normally use weight for both weight and mass and rarely use mass. This may include people that know how to use both words, but for certain audiences choose to use weight like most people, so they don't come across as a smartass.
the fist is part of banaan is shorter (short A how i like to say that) with the last part nothing wrong (native dutch)
Still don't know when to use dit or deze... Is this just something that comes with practice speaking or are there shortcuts to remembering?
