Gender identification on vocabulary list

Is it possible to put the gender of the noun in parenthesis following the noun? This would make vocabulary learning so much more efficient.

I am learning german, and agree: it would be great to have words and their definite article appearing systematically on vocabulary list.

Or as a subscript, which would be less visually distracting

I definitely prefer this idea as opposed to the method that they're testing right now. (color coding blue for masculine and pink for feminine) Reasons being, this will probably offend lots of people. Your idea does the job and everyone's happy. Yay!

I use the software with a screen reader that reads all the information. Color coding would make this information unavailable to me.

This is very important for people learning German (I guess for people learning Spanish too).

And related to this, having an option to practise only articles (i.e gender), plurals etc would be nice in the future.
