What! Have I come to the end of the French course at Level 14 and with only 51% efficiency?
To try and get your fluency up, you could try doing Immersion or reviewing your tree and reguilding it.
Congrats on finishing your tree as well!
Also have a look at other outside material to further improve your French.
Great job! I should finish my tree next month.
Don't worry about the fluency percentage. It is inconsistent at best. In the meantime, continue doing reviews, and try the reverse tree, or possibly learn another language from French!
All the best in your endeavors!
You are doing better than I! I decided to do the reverse French-English tree, and the percentage they give me in English (after having completed my tree, kept it golden, and done a fairly large amount of immersion) is 46%. Since I used to be an English teacher, I get my daily smile out of that figure!
Congratulations on finishing the course! The fluency percentage is meaningless, so do not be concerned. As suggested, for more practice try keeping your tree golden, try doing immersion, or try doing the reverse English for French course. You might also start trying to read easy books in French and look around the Internet for material suitable for advanced beginners. Try reviewing with these old courses, or this video, which takes a long time to load at first.
yea.. same for me with spanish.. turns out it won't go above ~65 because you can't be fully fluent with duolingo alone. makes the fluency badge useless IMHO. wish it was just % of however fluent duolingo can make you!
D'accord! Someone else had a question about the fluency rating just the other day. It's really duolingo-ccentric, as the metrics for that number really just pertains to how much you review on the site and just how frequently you get your answers correct without getting hints.
Not fluency, just how successful you are on the DL site. Mine says I'm at 25% French but I know I'm nowhere near that. LOL :)
