Activate/Deactivate weekly emails
I was wondering if anyone knew how to activate the weekly email feature. I am not getting any weekly updates from my students.
If you hover over your username, click on "settings" and then on "notifications". You can disable any unwanted emails from there.
@Alec737: I can't find any notification mail options for schools.duolingo.com in the settings of my account in "www.duolingo.com -> settings -> notifications". Or anywhere in www.duolingo.com, which would make sense: they are two distinct (and almost totally independent platforms).
@voleilinguista I tend to think the option doesn't exist.
When I posted, it didn't say anything about students emails. I don't know much about the educators feature, but I presume the only way to check your students progress is via the dashboard.

Yes, you didn't explicitely talk about that but voleilinguista 's question was about that: how to deactivate the weekly email that is send by school.duo.com to the eduators. So I thought you were talking about it too...

Hi voleilinguista! Please let me know: how long have you been using Duolingo for schools, and how many students do you have? Have you checked which email address is associated with your account, and your spam folder?
Edit: I checked on our end and made a settings change. Please wait a week and let me know if it has been fixed.
Hi vivisaurus. I am using my school e-mail and it does not go to my spam folder. :( If I receive an e-mail, I will let you know!
She asked - as am I - how to ACTIVATE the notifications. I turned it off for the summer and can not find anyway to turn it back on. When I get to notifications this is not an option. Thanks for the help.

Where did you turned them off? In which menu?
I had my new classes signup about 3 weeks ago. The "There is an announcement" in Notifications is checked, but I haven't received a single e-mail about my students' progress yet. I got them last year and they were very helpful when I gave out bonus points to the students who worked.
There are no updates on student progress in my "Junk" mailbox. I really would like to receive weekly updates on them. They seem to work better if I am following them more closely.
Looks like Duolingo emails have stopped because they could not get through. I have re-enabled them (so please wait a week and let me know), but is your email address a school email? Some schools and districts block external emails. If that is the case, I recommend changing your email address in your settings to one that will receive external email. :]
