Ukrainian: ALL lessons now in phonetic latin spelling rather than Slavic? What happened?

I took a few days off (unfortunately my mistake) and suddenly all my lessons (new and old) are asking me questions using the phonetic spelling for vocab...Why? Can I switch this?

I'd like to review and continue to learn in the patterns I started with!

Help!

Follow-up question: Has anyone tried this method and found it usefull?

Has anyone used the phonetic spelling to begin learning a language? Does it help with pronunciation enough to give it a shot? At first, this was a super frustrating feature change when it took me by surprise and I didn't know what had happened, or why, or how to use it (I actually thought I might be getting punished for taking days off :))... HOWEVER, the other side of this is how frustrating it has been practicing and not knowing if my pronunciation was even close on certain phrases. Then hearing a word or phrase said and realizing I had been practicing it incorrectly. Note: I'm focusing long-term on typing accuracy with the Cyrillic keyboard. Also, I'm concerned it might mess with the Ukrainian spelling I've learned so far (which is hard to get right either way)... perhaps it will have the opposite effect.

I'd imagine that this feature is an A/B test for the moment and that Duo is evaluating this question (on average on all students) through this A/B test.

Hey guys all you have to do is go to chrome and when you are in a lesson in the top left there is "tips and notes", the switch to the right of this changes the alphabet. Your welcome
