Slightly unconcentrated I wrote "Does he stand before or behind the station?" It was accepted, but shouldn't DUO mark the "before" wrong?

But it's correct: "before" can mean "in front of". The best example I can think of is the book, "Two Years Before the Mast," 1840, by Robert Dana.
