Resources for learning Japanese?

Does anyone know of any good resources for learning Japanese (preferably either a website or an iOS app and free)?

Japanese in Mangaland is really good (it's a book). I've taken Japanese before, but I found there grammar explanations to make sense.

Memrise is also a good resource. They have a lot of Japanese courses on there.

Tae Kim's Guide to japanese is really helpful and often recomended by learners. He has a "Complete Guide" and a "Grammar guide". If you dont know Kana yet, he also teaches it in the complete guide. Here is the link http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/ Also https://www.duolingo.com/comment/7963862 Demon-Kiyomi teaches it duolingo style on this very website, although it doesn't seem to be entirely complete. Also i found mango languages to be good for conversational lessons, but they dont really crack down on grammar. 頑張って!

This place is brilliant - http://www.textfugu.com/

And this to learn hiragana really fast - literally it took me about two days to learn all the letters - http://www.tofugu.com/guides/learn-hiragana/

They're both derived from the overall tofugu site that has a lot of articles on Japanese language, culture etc. The language lessons are geared up to a very realistic view of how people actually learn or fail to learn! :)
