Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

The Norwegian tree uses a lot of dated words

For example, "programmet" did not get accepted as a translation of "software". You had to type "programvaren", a word not used as much. I couldn't complete the test and got a lot of wrong answers because of the weird sentence structure and sometimes dated words.

The courses are in the first place for learning a language and not for testing out to a higher level.

You can contribute to the course by reporting the dated words and give some examples for a better translation.

"Programvaren" is the correct translation of "software". "Et program" is different from "en programvare".
