are mistakes taken into accout in practice?

Does Duolingo remember where we make mistakes during practice or new lessons or just how many times did a specific word occur and when was the last time we've seen it? If it does take into account our mistakes, then it's not very effective :D

I have few words I have problems with and it would be nice if they popped up in practice more often until I have learned. I am struggling with verbs right now and when I practice words from that lesson I get loads of 'bere' and 'mangiare' and simplest forms of 'essere' and 'avere'. I know I can remove them from practice, but I don't want to, because I would like to be reminded about them one in a while, like once every 20 practice sessions and not in every session, especially, if I always get them right.

Does this make sense? Or perhaps it would be possible to remove words from practice for certain amount of time, without having to remember to add them back in again?

I am sorry if this topic was already discussed, I couldn't find anything about it.

I would like to know that as well. Though I suspect they ARE taken into account based on the fact that my French Past Subjunctive decays as quickly as nothing else :)
