As an English speaker I always want to put "mus" for moose and I always think that "Elg" is "Elk"
Elk is North American English for moose, it's accepted too
Elk (wapiti) and moose are different things. North American elk don't exist in Europe. If you want to refer to elk in Norwegian you would use wapiti.
Well you're right, but to make matters more confusing, a Moose in Europe is also called an Elk.
Mouse = mus.
Same but isn't an elk a moose??
No, Elk/Wapiti (Cervus canadensis) is a different species from Moose/Elk (Alces alces).
Learned this word thanks to No. 4's "Jeg har aldri sett elg" !
Is an elk a moose it will help me remember elg is moose
