How to contact for help
My account seems to have been reset and I've lost all my progress, lingots, and rewards bought with lingots. I can't find how to contact customer service or IT or whoever I need to talk to. I'm in multiple languages (and have lost all of them).
It's almost inconceivable that a provider of business-to-consumer software doesn't have a customer/technical support organization to speak of. They are very wrong to think that they can provide adequate support with just FAQs and a (completely unstructured) discussion board. I even checked out their wiki, and it has no useful content at all. My advice is not to waste much time or effort learning how to use this product, because I don't think they'll be around very long. It's a substandard product that has much more market share than it deserves, and that's a very inviting target for a company that knows how to compete in consumer software markets.
Thank you all for the responses--I did change email accounts recently, but on checking my Duolingo profile it still says it was created nearly a year ago.

I finally "abandoned ship" and restarted my French at level 0 and, since I am retired and have time, I have worked myself back to level 17 in French . I have temporarily abandoned both Italian and Spanish. I have made it to level 2 in translation (down from level 4 from my earlier days). It is all very frustrating, especially since Duo itself can be so enjoyable. It has taken me 35 straight days to get where I am now. On the bright side, it was a good review! On the dark side, I worry about losing all my work with no help at hand.
I forgot to mention that I sent a screen shot showing my levels of progress, but that didn't help either.
Hi, I’m learning Portuguese with Duolingo. I have reached Phrases and I cannot get further because of a glitch. I reach a point where I’m asked to translate “de nada”.. witch means You are welcome! I have tried numerous times, writing exactly what the correction tells me but it tells me I’m wrong over and over again. I have payed money for the + version and I have lost my strike because of this also. Please help me out Kind regards frustrated

Duolingo wants me to create a "Profile" but when I put in my email address and password as requested it just says it's already taken. Well, of course it is, by me! Anyway the result is I can't do any more lessons as it apparently won't let me till I've got this "profile"
I am working in the French course and when the word heart is asked for I cannot squeeze the o and e together so I cannot get it right
You might have accidentally reset your account. There is a way to do that. I can't help you though. I'm no expert, and I just started duolingo a little over a month ago.
hello. i also want to make contact with customer service, but it seems there is no such thing on Duolingo. I wander why new words pop up in the rehearsal sets before given the opportunity to learn them? Usually new words are being introduced along with a visual image , but not always.
I am having the same problem but I think it is my own fault. I have been registered with two emails and requested a changed password with the defunct email registration. Today I seem to have a record of some of my transllations but I am at level 0 instead of very close to level 4. I have requested help but I really want to get back before I lose my 220 + day streak!
I am lucky to not have this happen to me, but I too think having some way to ACTUALLY contact someone when help/assistance is needed would be great! Why is this not a thing? What if I have something to say/ask that isn't a bug to report?
Screen freezes 3/4 of the way into a lesson. Happened on my desk top today (hard wired to internet) and yesterday on my iPad (WiFi). Could imagine WiFi got a weak signal - but not my desk top. Nothing worked short of hitting 'quit', which was not my preferred option. Anyone else had this problem?
I checked again this morning by means of email to the Duo site to see if any help had arrived for me, but Duo still wants me to restart at level 0 and they were showing me those frustrating heart things that I have never had on my account and certainly don't want on my account. I couldn't deal with them. Since I love Duo and have recommended it to scores of people, I really want to get back.
It's been a month and I still haven't gotten anything back from the bug report I sent. I'm going to send another one but I don't know what to do after that, since there's so little chance of an actual person seeing it and responding.

I have a technical problem. I have lost access to the course. It froze on the desk top and disappeared visa the web site. I am not very technically competent.
I by no means change the site language: It says that it is in English but in reality it is in Arabic which means that there is no orientation possible.
point of principle. I lost my 50 day streak, why? I went to the site on Thursady, albeit for 15 minutes, not my usual hour. Please explain.

Hi I am a teacher and I am creating tiny cards for my students but I need to add the pronunciation on the back since I am a native and there is specific vocabulary they need to learn how do I do this? Thanks
I cannot type my answers in Russian since I do not have Russian letters on my computer. I've tried to answer them phonetically, proving that I know the answer, but they're considered incorrect. Therefore, why not have multiple choice answers in the Russian language, proving that you not only understand the question, but you can also read the language.
There are still problems with my Duolingo. 1. There is no Chinese voice. 2. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. My new password is. meigle2510. I used my wife’s email when I was told that my email was aleady taken, that is email@example.com. 3. I am again locked out of Duolingo. Could someone please straighten this out?
I got the 7 day free trial thing, and chose to pay 6.99 a month after that but apparently today duolingo tried to charge me $83 for a year, i cant call them cause their number seems to either be fake or not working, what the hell do i do

I've spent some time trying to find any link to Duolingo support and all I've ever found are blind alleys leading to this forum. I was simply trying to find a way to connect with my French wife who uses this to learn English. She introduced me to Duolingo to learn French and I paid up for a year around 5 months ago. I find her incredibly useful over some questions I have over learning so it seemed natural to try to connect with her over the forum. Wow, was I wrong! As we could not find any instruction and the only links are for this forum I simply tried typing 'connect' along with what we believed to be her username and received, certainly forthright if not rude responses from other users who were not associated with anything like her username. I tried to clarify what I was trying to do in response and gave up for the night. I have now been astonished to find mail from a ‘no-reply@duolingo’ moderator with the content below. 6/20/2019 Why are the lingots not always accounted for? Usually the gems are applied once reaching the day's goal or when completing all levels of a lesson but the extra gems earned from watching ads are not applied. Today's issue is slightly different - no gem was applied, not for completing today's goal nor watching the ad. I ended yesterday/ started today w/ 299 gems, I received two lingots for completing the goal && one lingot for watching an ad but I'm still at 299 lingots.
