Mi povas. Mi nur ŝatas la odoron. La gusto estas tre malbona. Mi preferas teon.
It is correct, because without coffee someone else may decide that I'm too much hassle. But with coffee they can usually tolerate my humor.
Vivi sen kafo estas ne vivi tute, speciale por mi! Mi estas tute dependa sur ĝi.
Could you use "malpovas" here instead of "ne povas?" I know you can't make that substitution everywhere you use "ne," but it seems like it should work here, right? "Povi", " to be able" and "malpovi", " to not be able"?
I don't think so. Malpovi means something more like "to disable," and we generally don't think of one being "disabled" by a lack of coffee, as much of a handicap as that may seem to some.
Oh that was my problem! Haha, if I see it again I will, I wasn't sure if I was just wrong.
I misread this as "Mi ne provas vidi sen kafo", and got the meaning of "sen" backwards in my head.
