"everyday" (bir kelime) bir sıfat. "His everyday breakfast" = Her gün yediği kahvaltısı / Her günkü kahvaltısı.

"every day" (iki kelime) bir zarf ifadesi. "He eats breakfast every day" = Her gün kahvaltı yapar.

12:50 is not the same as quarter to one! Shouldn't that be 12:45?

I am not sure where you are getting 12:50 from. It is not in any accepted answer :)
