Is there any way to block users who are rude or trollish so they can't comment to you, or put them on an ignore list so any messages they make to you or your friends won't show in your stream?

I personally haven't had a problem myself but I don't need to see my Duolingo friends being trolled, harassed and rudely shh'd and told not to makes comments because some self-important jerk hasn't figured out how the Internet works. This is not what I come to Dulongo for.

Also it might be a good idea that if a certain user has been blocked by an X number of other users that your team reviews their conduct and considers banning them.

You can delete messages on your stream. Contact abuse@duolingo.com when you experience continuous trolling.

You seemed to have misunderstood my problem. These aren't people posting to me directly. These are people replying others whom I follow with rude messages, and the only option the drop-down menu offers me is to unfollow that person. I don't want to unfollow these people. I want to get rid of the rude messages posted to them that are showing up in my stream, preferably by blocking these people or putting them on some kind of ignore list.

Sorry, I thought you were asking on behalf of your friends. You can still report people for abuse, but I understand that it would be more useful to you when Duolingo added more ways for users to control the things they receive.
