Finished my French tree. And it's Golden!

Feeling accomplished on completing my French tree. It took me four months. The first month was at a leisurely pace where I only managed to do about 20% of the tree. From then on I was serious about it hitting 200xp on most days. I started regilding the tree when I was about 80% complete (a few new lessons and a lot of practice with previous lessons), At the end, I completed a golden tree. Next will be to do the reverse tree, start to use Memrise, become serious with Immersion and start the Spanish tree. I'm still poor at listening and have no speaking practice, so I'll keep the French movies (and books) for later-when I've completed the reverse tree. Thank you Duolingo and you all for your inspiring words on this forum.

May I ask, what is a 'French Tree'?

October 8, 2015

https://www.duolingo.com/Donausteen

A French tree is the name given to the whole lessons you will be doing in a particular Duolingo language. Perhaps due to the appearance and design of the lessons-taggered from top to bottom.

What is a reverse tree? Doing the lessons backward from the bottom to the top? Also, what is Memrise?

October 9, 2015

https://www.duolingo.com/Donausteen

If you're learning French as an English speaker. The reverse tree is doing English (which you already speak) as a French speaker. Memrise is a language learning website.

October 9, 2015

If you speak English and you have just hypothetically learned french, a reverse tree is where you would select French as your language and learn English from duolingo as a french speaker.

I reached 28% fluency at one point but then I kept sliding to 27, 26, 24, and now I am at 22% fleuncy.

What is this figure specifically based on? Amount of time spent in practising, or what kind of errors cause the decline more than other kind of errors.
