I read something about a new spanish tree on reddit, but I can't find any information about it here on duolingo. Is it true? When where why how what?

The new German tree is in beta and in the form of an A/B test, so not everyone has it. https://www.duolingo.com/comment/10767400

I know, I have it. But I was asking about a possible new spanish tree.

Btw, impressive streak and impressive number of languages! Are these all the available languages on DL?

Available for learning from English, but I also learn languages in reverse to English and you cannot tell how many from this. You can only see one icon for English. I heard that there are 70 courses? Many are teaching a language already offered in English, but when learning in reverse a lot more possibilities are available.

Mouse over your user name, then click on Settings, then click on Learning Language and click on the language you are currently learning for a drop down menu of all the courses available written in the language that they are offered in. '

Or mouse over the flag next to your profile picture and click on Add a new course (you don't have to add one to see this) on the top right corner click on the language you speak and in the drop open menu, you can choose "All languages" and then you can scroll down the list and it will still be in your current language until you click on a course and click on "Switch to course".

Thanks for the extensive reply!

I have almost finished the spanish tree and I'm thinking about doing the reverse tree next. Or maybe the french>spanish (or v.v.) tree, for a real challenge. O_O I like both french and spanish a lot, but I'm afraid combining them is a little over my head. :-/

No, the update was only for the German course. There had previously been one for the French course. Maybe Spanish will be next, who knows? Yet, the German update is still in Beta and only available to one group as it is in A/B testing.

Ah, ok. So this person on reddit was just mistaken. Thanks. That's a relief. I have almost finished the spanish tree and I would not be happy if I suddenly had a lot more skills to learn. Later, fine, interesting, but please not right now!
