Duolingo needs to be taught proper English, I recall my teacher fondly telling me to sing, "I and we always shall". Yet Duolingo doesn't accept, "I shall not stay". All sentences containing either I/we should also accept "shall" instead of "will".

Thanks, since I am an American English speaker, I know nothing about its common usage in England, but will is still a valid alternative, in my opinion.

I agree, both are valid alternatives, but since Duolingo is teaching american English. I don't think it will add this.
