Temperatur er den eneste delen av metriske systemet jeg ikke forstå. Jeg vet hvor langt er 100 meter. Jeg forstå hvor tung er 15 kilo eller 27 gram. Men hvor varmt er 17 grader? Jeg må konvertere den for å få den.

(I bet you can't use å få like that. But it's not really that I don't "understand", I formally understand it, it's just I don't "get" it when someone says its 15 degrees out. There are some temps I have memorized, specifically -40°, 0°, 40°, 100°. But anything else? Double it and add 32.)

You're so close with "double it and add 32". Just change the mult part of your method from "double it" to "nine-fifths it" (or multiply it by 1.8) and you'll be spot-on.
