I wrote "Es isst ein Sandwich" and it said that was correct but wrote the translation as "It is a sandwich". My sentence meants "It is eating a sandwich", the other is a translation for "Es ist ein Sandwich"!
I did the same thing.. it's hard to know if it wants "eats" or "is"
same thing with me. they should check this one
Same thing happened to me, I think it's because how hard it is to distingüish bot of them
Same :(
why not "it's making a sandwich" ?
To make and to eat are very different in both english and german, macht is to make
