Just like English language, music is a medium in learning languages due to its universality. I've been trying to find French songs through the Internet but tend to find the old ones. I'm sure that there must be latest French songs. Is there any site that can keep me updated to French songs? & any song suggestion?

i just went in my youtube likes to see the songs i like

http://youtu.be/L83Za9QLPwA -- Du Rhum, des femmes. Not recent, but so worth it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bUS_rqCLuo Tant qu'on aura de l'amour - Les Cowboys Fringants (anything from them is cool)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0emXuhPTWUM Je t'emmène au vent, - Louise Attaque

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8U-XQYJwDY Dégénération, - Mes Aieux

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9KRsH_iXz4 Tassez vous de d'là, - Les Colocs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPLVibhTVjs Embarque ma belle, -Kain

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6F2HU4JAIU&list=FLvjIItLWZp-YbUtj_AGm4mw&index=4 , J'aime les moches, Max Boublil

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23iU7kJnpRg Je lève mon verre, William Deslaurier

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkDNsKPLXaM Un musicien parmi tant d'autres, Harmonium

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc3eMMF4C4o Libérez-nous des libéraux, Loco Locass (ok, this -- this is pure genius, ok. Loco Locass goes crazy with the language, the way they play with it, they love it. And I say this as a native speaker who studies literature! )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD9bY3mMypY L'ascenceur, Jean-Louis Cormier

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzXPqpjLFNg Ficelles, Ingrid St-Pierre

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRdkddFCR78 Mappemonde, Les soeurs Boulay

http://youtu.be/BbGDfCIRFLo Cauchemar de course, Bernard Adamus

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyHf9z7N1aA Maudit qu't'es belle, Longue Distance

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydzXKzco6vI La vie est belle, Bravo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruLivPgxgbA Oublie pas, Karkwa

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_evjYv1BY8 J'suis pas ton prince charmant, Keen'v

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiKj0Z_Xnjc Papaoutai, Stromae (my boyfriend loved the song and the clip even if he does not get french)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHoT4N43jK8 Alors on danse, Stromae

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu-9OhZ8jYM J'suis beau

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODnfjllw5e8 Je marche à toi, Yann Perreault (actually this is based on the magnificent poem "La marche à l'amour" de Gaston Miron, whose poetry has been sung on two CDs and diverse stages by "les douze hommes rapaillés". it's so beautiful.

and most of these songs are from quebec rather than from france because, well, i know some very good french songs, but not so many new artists. (but seriously this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mD8ZpKxrw0 from Charles Aznavour is great, as well as many from Brel or Joe Dassin or others. Old classics have this amazing quality that you can sing them with many people, who will usually recognize the songs)

hopefully you find something you like in this. if anything, some of those songs have great lyrics. and i was posting one of the most simples song from "Les cowboys fringants". They do some pretty cool stuff. S'worth checking out, in my opinion.

Oh well. Gimme some news about it! :)

This site is easy to use and you can watch the music videos that have already been uploaded or you can upload videos in any language from YouTube. Then, Google by 'song title' and lyrics and sync them to the video (it's really easy and fast) You'll have an endless supply of songs to use. :)

http://readlang.com/landing-page

This is how to upload and sync. I only had to watch it once and I was able to easily upload and sync songs in the language I'm learning. :)

I recommend shoutcast, if you are like me and can't be bothered actively searching for music and just want it beamed into your ears radio style. The app is free too.

http://www.shoutcast.com/radio/French

also good for mariachi, punjabi, persian, reggae, african music etc etc....
