New to Duolingo

So I have some questions. I am trying to learn Ukraine. How do I go about learning the alphabet, pronunciation of letters, and the grammar aside from the meaning of words and how to write them? I feel like I am missing something besides just the quiz/lessons.

Thanks!

For the alphabet that's just something you need to study or learn overtime. Grammar is tricky in Ukrainian and there are many things that I bet native speakers wouldn't understand or use on a daily basis. http://www.ukrainianlanguage.org.uk/read/index.htm has A LOT of info that is very helpful, don't be overwhelmed by all of it like I was, and the conjugations and declensions will slowly improve if you look over them at least once a day. The meanings of words is just something you will learn, I don't know really what else to say for that. Writing Cyrllic is easier than the Latin alphabet for over half of the letters look the same in their capatilized version and lowercase version. I would get used to the Ukrainian keyboard and when you're bored you could practice writing Cyrllic on paper

Learning Cyrillic isn't that hard. For me only the problem is the Keyboard. Every letter is in th course. The same with pronunciations, they all are there. Grammar might be annoying if you don't speak any Slavic language (my native language is Polish, so I'm lucky, because I don't need to learn that much). Meaning of the words needs to be memorised :/ Ukrainian writing is phonetic - you write what you hear ;) For more click here: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/8786824 and here: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/9012790
