un vs uno

Is "uno mes o uno año" really wrong for "one month or one year?"

Just think of it like this: When stating "one" of something, drop the 'o' from uno if the noun is masculine and replace it with an 'a' if feminine. "Uno" mostly going to be used when the number doesn't modify a noun, like, "I only have one" "Solo tengo uno"

I can do that. Thanks
