Typing Umlauts etc.

I would love to be able to type "Ctrl+Shift+:" and then "a", "o", or "u" to get Umlautted vowels or "Ctrl+Shift+&" and then "s" to get an EssZett (as I do in word-processing all the time), instead of having to use the mouse and click on the on-screen keys. Any chance that Duolingo can facilitate this?

Hi, one simple way to do it is to use a US/UK international keyboard layout (see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout#US-International). Just google how to do it for your favorite OS. It's what I use for both the French and German diacritics and it becomes natural very fast!

À bientôt / Viel spaß :)

Thanks, very useful.
