Hungarian Team is Back!

After being in the dark for so long, it's really nice to hear from the team again! Looks like they needed to do some restructuring.

With the Russian course imminent, Polish inching its way toward 100%, the resurgence of the Romanian and Hungarian teams, and the addition of Swahili for English Speakers, the coming weeks will definitely be quite exciting!

Don't forget Catalan (for Spanish speakers) which will likely be done before Hungarian! Yes, quite exciting and busy weeks to come for language geeks!

Hungarian with 20+ cases, or kiSwahili with 16 genders? It's like fighting a losing battle.

I am very excited for these langs though.

So with all these languages leaving the incubator, does it mean new languages can get in?

Dear Hungarian Team THANK YOU! What a difficult language Hungarian is to teach to us English speakers. When I am in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, I can GUESS what many of the words mean and most of the time I am close. In Hungary I had NO IDEA what the signs outside the stores meant. So the vocabulary is totally unfamiliar. And THEN there is the grammar.
There is so much more to tackle in this course than in many of the more popular languages.
I think the team decision to concentrate on GRAMMAR is good. It may make Hungarian less popular than French, Spanish and German, but it already is, so that really shouldn't impact the decision. The truth is that we can "pick up" vocabulary on the run and we will have to anyhow... but knowing the postpositions and conjugations and the ideas of Focus, we at least we might be able to recognize some of the vocabulary and use it to say something coherent! Please DO NOT be discouraged..
