DuoBot in Immersion?
When did this feature show up?
I just noticed it yesterday (in the German --> English immersion; haven't had the chance to check out other languages yet) and although it's a nice feature to have to help start translating, I don't think it really lends full credit to the translators and sometimes takes away from the learning process of translation independent of Bots.
I'm not complaining, I'm just curious as to why this feature has been implemented.
What do you guys think of it?
The DuoBot has been in immersion for as long as I can remember, and while it does help a bit, I normally do not use it because it's translations are often inaccurate, to say the least.
Wow, I suppose I'm just really not observant, haha! XD Thanks for letting me know :)
I think you get the Bots when it hasn't been translated yet. Like, if the words are blue, then that means you may get help from DuoBot... but sometimes DuoBot is not accurate. Also, sometimes, Duolingo doesn't offer you that hint. Also, I don't use it too much.... Because first I have a go then have a peek at words then use DuoBot...
Yes, I believe that's the case. Thank you, Double100! :)
For the German --> English translations, it's rather accurate except for the uncommon error in placement of verbs. Does the Spanish --> English immersion have this feature as well?
