Question about accents when using the latin alphabet/keyboard...

In some instances, where I cannot find a particular accent that's required (for example the "i" with the curve on top in "moi") I am graded incorrect. I tried to find the accent, but cannot and can't get past some of the practice sessions as I have no way to spell the word correctly. Help? Advice? There are other accents my keyboard is missing.

Have you considered switching to Cyrillic? As for Й, maybe try J or Y.

I will try that. I have no experience with Cyrillic and it defaulted to Latin, so I just went along with it. Is it recommended to start in Cyrillic right away?

I'd say yes, I don't know why anyone would want to start in Latin.

Will do and going back to start with Cyrillic. Reason for me starting with Latin alphabet is interesting: all my in-laws are Russian first language (and pretty much only language), but type mainly with Latin alphabet for some reason. Always thought it was strange. In any case, I'll have lots of practice, have a pile of kids' books in Cyrillic, so my 15 month old and I can learn together.

Oh, interesting. It makes sense, but I'm afraid you won't find lots of Russian resources in Latin. So yeah, try Cyrillic.
