What's the difference between Украина страна большая and большая страна?
There is no difference in meaning, but the latter word order is way more frequent.
"Украина страна большая" sounds solemn.
Why is it это and not эта
It is a country - Это страна. It is a house - Это дом. It is a bucket - Это ведро.
this country - эта страна (женский род) this house - этот дом (мужской род) this bucket - это ведро (средний род)
I put ... украина это болшая страна ... and it was marked correct, please explain this difference if anyone knows.
There is no difference, это is optional in such definitions.
Why do you not say: Украина находится большая страна...?
Находится means "located" or "situated". What you wrote means "Ukraine is located a large country". It doesn't make any sense.
You can use this word in a sentence like "Украина находится в Европе." - "Ukraine is located in Europe." = "Ukraine is in Europe."
Why did I get this wrong when I put "Украина большая страна"? All I did was leave out the hyphen?
