Courses from different languages - very complicated

I am learning Spanish from German, but Dutch from English, because the Dutch course wasn't available from German. However, it is INCREDIBLY complicated to switch between these courses, although I am using the same account. When the homepage is in German, it appears like I'm not even learning Dutch at all!

This issue has already been reported in the German forum, however I'd like to see if there's any response in the English community.

Anyone with the same problem?

You can get a userscript. it makes it easier to switch back and forth.

You need tamper monkey on your browser first to use it. I hope that helps.

EDIT: Check jimnicholson links for script.

Maybe I'm missing something, but when I tried that script I just found it annoying as it lists all the possible languages when you try to switch.

I just make bookmarks to the pages where you go to switch languages, like https://www.duolingo.com/course/nl-NL/en/Learn-Dutch-Online

I might have grabbed the wrong script by accident. Sorry about that.

If you are using the web, there is a user script that can help here:

Thanks for the scripts! That hack might work for the moment. Would still be great if that could be incorporated into the regular Duolingo web appearance, though!

If you can learn two languages each from a different base language then you should be capable of switching courses. It may be a bit tedious but it is not incredibly complicated.

There is a user script which claims to make it more convenient but i have never used it myself. You can find it at http://duolingo.wikia.com/wiki/Duolingo_Userscripts
