I have conquered the German skill tree !!!!
I am so happy !!!!!!! Ich habe es wieder geschafft !!!!! My gold owl is back again and all my skills are golden :D I am at the moment on 47% fluency and I believe with a little bit of more practice I will get it on 50% ( which is max , I believe). My next goal is to keep this tree golden and to go back to doing reverse tree, which I stopped because I got this new tree :D
It says that I have learned 1924 Words while doing this tree. Does anyone know what amount of words would be sufficient for B2 Niveau ? :D
Danke !!! Ooh, then for B2 would be around 5000 probably. Well, I have less then 3500 but I still managed to pass Goethe B1 Test really easy. I did online Test and checked my answers and I am definitely B1 right now.
You can't take the Goethe B1 test online. You have to attend a test centre, especially as the full test involves speaking. You might be thinking of an online quiz or estimator that the Goethe Institute offers. This type of quiz only gives you an indication of what level you might want to test for. And it doesn't test your speaking skills like a proper B1 test would - it's likely only a grammar test.
Congrats, where did you take the test? Online? Could you please give me the link for taking the test?
Thank you. Here is the link : https://www.goethe.de/de/spr/kup/prf/prf/gzb1.html On the left side you can see levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 and two more. You can just click on the one which you would like to do. After you chose which one you would like to do , you will also be able to see a video how "Speaking" part of the exam looks like. It is quite easy ;) Let us know what level you are ;) hehe and good luck :D
Thanks SamijaH, :-)
I'd definitely take the test. About 10 days ago I took a test on Deutsche Welle at the level of B1, scored 82%. I didn't try B2 though. I'm preparing myself for B2 level, in a month I'd take the test for B2 and definitely would let you know :-)
Keep up the good work :-)
Thank you and good luck. I am also progressing towards B2. Hope we get to that level soon :D Take care ;)
Sorry I just would like to know how much time did it take you to finish the german tree completely? thanks just want to gage the time it will take me
Hey, a rough answer would be how much time are you going to spend. But the question you are asking is a BAD question, why do you want to finish the tree? My guess is that you'd like to have a nice command in German language, right? If that's the case - and if you have no familiarity with German - then I'd suggest take your time, don't rush it. If you finish the tree in a year, that's good.
This way, you'll have a good knowledge of German. You can absorb what you've learned. And you can be proud of yourself. Believe me, I've seen many people here who not only finished the German tree but are at +20 level but really don't know the language.
I suggest you to re-do from early on and don't learn too many new materials daily - of course, only you can know what too-many is for you. If you want to spend more time daily to learn German, there are good free materials on Deutsche Welle's website, the good thing is that you can at the same time practice your listening ability and speaking too, because the materials are conversation based.
Alles Gute, Heschmat
I have to agree with what heschmat said in his reply. For me it took a little bit more then half a year to finish the tree. But I also used many other resources and I did not study every day. And I spent a lot of time just making my tree golden before I would go on to the next skill.
i have finished my tree also, but i think that my german is not good anyway :D I'm affraid to speak with people and so :D
Congratulations !!!!!! Yeah, I can understand you. One month ago I felt exactly the same like you. I mean, I know my german is not perfect, but it is pretty good for normal simple conversations. And if you finished this tree and if you are around level B1 as well, I am sure you can too. One month ago I was afraid when people would ask me something on the street (on german , because I moved to Germany few months ago - without knowing any german :P ) and then I decided that if I don't start communicating I will be always afraid. Then, I just went out and got myself a mini job (few hours a week) which would force me to speak with people. In the beginning I wasn't talking much at all, I would be only saying "Okay" and did the job which I was asked to (I understand german good :P ) but now, after just 1 month of being sorounded by people who actually talk to me from time to time, I started talking as well. Of course I make some silly mistakes, but no one makes fun of that. So you shouldn't be afraid either. If you make a mistake, no one cares. Seriously, people just ignore it and keep talking to you like you said everything correct :P
yes, i need mini job too, because i'm so bored sitting at home all the time, but nobody wont hire me or i'm just not good in searching job i don't know. Keine Ahnung :D
This is the site which I used to read job offers every day : http://jobboerse.arbeitsagentur.de/
Try it out, maybe you will find something for you.I can understand you, when I had to be all the time in the house, I was going crazy. In which town are you? Maybe we are close by :D hehe
Oooh that is like 2.5h away from me ( with a car and no traffic) . I am little bit more south :D hehe
Congrat-u-lations to you Congrat-u-lations to you Congrat-u-lations dear SamijaH Congrat-u-lations to you!!! =)
