Is it possible to see what number you are to have joined a course?

I see some members know when they joined a particular course, e.g. someone in the Russian course knows they are the 47th person to have started the course as it was shown on the screen.

I was one of the first to join the Russian course, and would be interesting to know, for no real purpose apart from curiosity what number I am.

Is this possible to check somehow?

When I started the Russian course, I was the 48th learner. But others said this too, as there is no way to see. It is impossible to know.

Yeah, me too. Let's start a 47 or 48 club. ;)

47 is just the number the counter stops at for a brief time when a course is first launched as it gets fully up and running and means nothing, many sites have a similar system (for example YouTube view count stops at 300 until there are enough views for it to work properly). And no there is no way to check what number you were to join as far as I know.

People were just basing their position on the number of current learners listed on the course page, which is why many people think they have the same number - people joined between when the page loaded and when they joined.

Given the way the information's likely stored, it's doubtful even Duolingo themselves could tell you reliably if at all at what number you joined.
